Classes that are not attended must still be paid for. This
is because you are paying for the spot in the class to be kept
for your child – in a similar way to how childcare centres
are run.
If your child has suffered a serious illness that has caused
them to have missed more than 4 lessons and you can produce
a doctor’s certificate, fees may be waived for this period.
Each dance style you enrol in is a program of one year’s
duration. If you wish to withdraw your child from any classes
please notify us via telephone, email or post.
If your child is still enrolled in Terms 3 and 4 it is assumed
that he/she will be participating in our end of year performance
and costumes will be allocated accordingly. If you have not
notified us of your intention to withdraw from classes by term
3 you may be liable for any costume hire fees incurred.
EXPECTATIONS OF STUDENTS & PARENTS
It is expected that all students and parents will respect the
rules of the studio:
Purchase the correct footwear and uniform within the first 4
weeks of enrolment.
Wear the correct uniform and shoes to
all dance classes
Wear socks or tights to all classes to
prevent blisters.
Tie back long hair into a tight bun –
Short hair should be pulled back off the face with a headband
Students should arrive on time for all
classes.
Senior students should arrive 15 minutes
before their scheduled class time to warm up.
Limit the wearing of jewellery to sleepers
or stud earrings.
Complete all homework assignments by their
due dates.
Although all care is taken, Desiree’s Dance Academy staff do
not take responsibility for students whilst they are not in class.
Parents are kindly asked to supervise their children during breaks
between classes.
